James Tannahill

James is President of Plocamium Holdings, a private equity and specialized services firm backed by a single-family office. PH invests with purpose in the lower middle market, targeting sectors where operational discipline, strategic clarity, and long-term value converge—especially across global industrials, materials, healthcare, and national security.

Prior to leading Plocamium Holdings, James was the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Finance at Vaxart (Nasdaq: VXRT), where he directed strategic planning and corporate development. His career also includes senior roles in healthcare sector investment research at M Science (NYSE: JEF) and the development of data-driven products at Accrete.ai. He began his career as an equity research associate specializing in the global healthcare sector.

Mr. Tannahill is a partner at Student Sponsor Partners, a NYC non-profit dedicated to supporting academically at-risk students. He holds an MBA from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Essex, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Denison University. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Outside of work, James enjoys ocean sailing and hiking with his partner, Sydney.
